Find Your True North
“True North is the internal compass that guides you successfully through life."
Bill George, Author
I am a counselor candidate, graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead Clinical Mental Health Counseling Graduate program. I have experience in a variety of clinical settings including correctional and substance abuse facilities. However, I believe my work as a County Child Welfare Caseworker in Colorado has strongly driven my passion for working with children, adolescents, and adults as it relates to trauma, attachment, and relationship issues.
I view the counseling process as forming a trusting relationship with you to explore the nature of who you are, why you are, and the nature of the problems you face. I use an eclectic approach including a variety of counseling theories to meet an individual where they are at as a way to address their personal needs. My counseling practices are based in the roots of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy while remaining Trauma & Person Centered focused.
I am passionate about helping individuals determine or rediscover their values and beliefs which create their true authentic self, with work grounded in empathy, non-judgement, and inclusivity.
In my free time I enjoy all outdoor Colorado things! Most weekends you can catch me in i70 traffic to the ski hill or hiking trail, biking to a local activity, paddle boarding at a state park, or relaxing with my two mini dachshunds.
